I often go to Barnes and Noble just to hang out. There's something about bookstores that I find relaxing. The last time I was there I was browsing at the art books and I came across one that really caught my attention. Pictures Showing What Happens on Each Page of Thomas Pynchon's Novel Gravity's Rainbow by the artist Zak Smith. The title pretty much explains it all. Each page illustrates what happens in the book Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. I have never read Gravity's Rainbow but after looking through Zak's book it made me want to read it.

Most of the illustrations are done in ink but a few are done in acrylic and a few are photographs.

I love that there are a few pages with colors, bright colors. It suprises you while you are flipping through the pages. This book is definately going on my
birthday wishlist.
